Re: McEnerny-Ogle Ponies Up For Porta Potties at Park

Not at all a concern about locking them - although perhaps the City should look into liability coverage like Portland does. I guess Councilmember McEnerny-Ogle is looking into this more when back from vacation.

Eileen - thank you for letting me know about John Ball. In that case, I'll donate $100 to one at Cascade Park (behind Crestline Elem).

Please note that we typically lock the porta potty when not in use for the program. I know this may be confusing to community members but porta potties have proven to be frequent targets for vandalism. This can be costly and also ruin the park experience for others. If this is a concern and anyone would like to discuss, please let me know.

Thanks!

Since Parks and Rec will be hosting Playtime at the Park at John Ball this summer, there will be a port-a-potty installed as well as running water. This will be for the duration of the program, which I believe runs through August.

Thanks for reaching out, Shea! I think our parks need better facilities; alas, no one wants to pay for public spaces anymore.

Councilmember Anne McEnerny-Ogle and I are each putting up $100 for Porta Potty rental at our parks: Shumway for her and John Ball for me. Who wants to join in? Anne, whats the process through City Parks for those interested in stepping up?

Please, go ahead and say something - let me and others know what you think, how you feel, what should be done...what I didn't say, should have said...or how shrill I am/not shrill enough. Be assertive here.
